1. What Vessel Ready Is — and Is Not

Vessel Ready is a maintenance tracking and readiness tool for vessel owners. It helps you plan preventive maintenance, record service history, track equipment hours, manage spare parts, and store certificates and checklists.

Vessel Ready is not a marine surveyor, marine mechanic, classification society, flag authority, insurer, regulator, or legal, safety, or compliance authority. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional marine, engineering, mechanical, legal, insurance, or safety advice.

2. No Seaworthiness Guarantee

The Service does not certify, verify, or guarantee that any vessel is seaworthy, safe, fit for any voyage or use, or compliant with any law, regulation, code, standard, or insurance requirement. Use of Vessel Ready does not replace any required inspection, survey, certification, or professional assessment.

3. User Responsibility

You agree that you are responsible for:

4. Reminders, AI Output, and Generated Reports May Contain Errors

Reminder emails, due dates, checklists, hour-meter calculations, certificate expiry tracking, inventory counts, AI-generated suggestions, parts look-ups, and exported reports may contain errors, omissions, stale data, or misinterpretations. You must independently verify any output of the Service before relying on it for a maintenance, safety, purchase, operational, or compliance decision.

5. Service Records Are User-Generated

All service records, history entries, checklist completions, photos, notes, and uploaded documents are user-generated content. They are not automatically certified, audited, surveyed, or otherwise validated maintenance records. Vessel Ready makes no representation that any record stored in the Service satisfies the requirements of any insurer, buyer, surveyor, broker, or regulator.

6. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use

All software, code, design, structure, templates, content, and data schemas of the Service are owned exclusively by Vessel Ready. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for the maintenance of vessels you own or operate.

You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, mirror, crawl, reverse engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service, its source code, its templates, or its content (including database structure, prompts, checklists, and seeded data) without prior written permission from Vessel Ready.

7. Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, feature requests, bug reports, or ideas you submit may be used by Vessel Ready for any purpose, without restriction, attribution, or compensation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vessel Ready shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, vessel value, opportunity, time, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if Vessel Ready has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The total aggregate liability of Vessel Ready for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to Vessel Ready in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) CAD $50.
